OUR STORY
Our Mission
At Peabody Bar & Grill, our mission is to bring back the legendary college bar experience that made this location a Temple University tradition for over 20 years.
Formerly known as The Draft Horse, this space was once the number one college bar in Philadelphia, a place where students, alumni, faculty, and staff created memories that lasted long after graduation. Now, Peabody is bringing that energy back with a fresh new look, state-of-the-art sound, over 20 TVs, great food, exciting nightlife, and the ultimate sports-bar atmosphere.
Our mission is to create a fun, safe, high-energy destination where Temple students, faculty, staff, alumni, and Philadelphia sports fans can come together for lunch, happy hour, game days, live entertainment, DJs, celebrity appearances, college events, and unforgettable nights.
Peabody is more than a bar. It is a rite of passage, a campus tradition, and the new home for the next generation of Temple memories.
Our Vision
Our vision is to restore Peabody Bar & Grill to the forefront of Philadelphia’s college nightlife and sports bar scene.
We are bringing back the spirit of The Draft Horse while creating a modern, exciting, and unforgettable experience for today’s students and the faculty, staff, and alumni who already have an emotional connection to this legendary location.
Peabody will be the number one destination for college events, gameday watch parties, happy hours, live music, DJs, celebrity-hosted events, and major sporting events in Philadelphia. Open seven days a week during the school year, Peabody will be the place where campus culture, sports, music, food, and nightlife come together.
Our goal is simple: to make Peabody the ultimate sports bar and college nightlife experience in Philadelphia, a place where the memories continue, the tradition lives on, and every generation gets their Peabody story.
